Użyty do produkcji Glenmorangie A Tale of the Forest słód jęczmienny, wysuszono przy użyciu leśnych botaników, tj.: jagód jałowca, kory brzozy, kwiatów wrzosu oraz odrobiny torfu. W rezultacie otrzymano bardzo zaskakującą whisky - tak bujną i liściastą jak sam las, z akcentami igieł sosnowych, leśnego mchu, jałowca, eukaliptusa, mięty, gorzkich pomarańczy i subtelnego dymu.
Autorką opakowania Glenmorangie A Tale of Forest jest tajska artystka i ilustratorka Pomme Chan, która przedstawiła na nim swoje wyobrażenie lasu.
